      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I'm trying to install Splunk Forwarder on an WinXP Machine 32-Bit.&lt;BR /&gt;
On 2 of 50 Computes i got error code 1073741795 and the installation cancels.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I searched for an error description but couldn't find one.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Can anybody help?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Got the same error too.  My machines getting this error are Windows 2003 32-bit with IIS.  Created a support case with SPlunk but no response yet.  Would really like to know the solution to this since it's holding up our Forwarder roll-out on Windows (1000 clients).  Linux machines were a breeze.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Also, what version of the forwarder are you using?  If using version 6.0.2, be aware of known issue SPL-79009 since forwarding is essentially broken.  We were trying forwarder version 6.0.2 but went back to 6.0.1 because of this issue.  However, both versions won't install.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I had a similar issue on a Win2003 server and opened a ticket. Support says this is a bug but is not fully understood yet and affects some but not all windows installs. To fix, I had to install older version (5.0.8).&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Yup, got the same response from support.  Hopefully they discover the issue soon.  Like you stated, we are currently using the latest 5.x version for now.&lt;/P&gt;
