      <title>Why is splunkd not starting on one of my indexers?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My splunkd is not starting on one of the indexers. Below is what I have done so far -&lt;BR /&gt;
 1. deleted PID file from /var/run/splunk&lt;BR /&gt;
 2. chown - R satish:xxx /opt/splunk &lt;BR /&gt;
 3. tried to restart splunk number of times &lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Could someone please help me to fix this problem?&lt;/P&gt;
