Team,

I'm cobbling together a Splunk app that monitors twitter and facebook data available through their APIs, and I was wondering if there are any well-worn paths for plugging this data in. On my own, I'd probably create a php script that ran every minute or so, threw the data into a log file, and had splunk monitor that log file. Is that the easiest? Is there something even easier?
