do you see elevated prompt in Vista? If you are admin it should give you consent window, if you are not admin it will be window to enter admin password. It may take a while before elevation happens (~ 2 min or so).

I'm stuck with running Splunk Windows 32-bit version file on my laptop as well as desktop computer.

Here is what it looks like when I execute Splunk icon on Windows Vista(32 bit1).

Click on it => Shortly, MS-DOS prompt window popped up and waiting dead long => No Splunk Log In windows showing

My best guess is that my computer is not set up as an Administrator Account; but, I know that I set it under the administrator account.

So, any better guess or solution to deal with this kind of issue? Happy Splunking 🙂

Best Wishes, Sung-Jin
