I'm assuming you're using the GUI to set up data inputs. I've noticed that when indicating Select the Sourcetype "From List" that not all existing sourcetypes are available in the drop-down list. However, you can change the "From List" to "Manual" and then fill in the desired sourcetype in the provided field.

This is an old one, but worth noting that the WHY for this has been discovered and is covered on another question https://answers.splunk.com/answers/79922/not-all-sourcetypes-showing-on-the-web-drop-down-menu-for-sourcetype.html
