topic Splunk Windows App in Getting Data In

I have the Splunk for Windows app installed but it is collecting syslog UDP:514 data as well. How do I exclude the syslog data from the Windows app?

I don't want to exclude it from Splunk entirely, just want to keep it out of the Windows app.

Hi gharpe2

either you remove it from the config files in the app directory or remove it over the manager UI, restart splunk and you're done.

need a hint on how to do this?
http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/4.3/admin/Inputsconf

cheers
