&lt;P&gt;I am trying to time series forecast using  Splunk Machine learning tool kit. But it is not able to replicate the pattern found on the existing&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper" image-alt="alt text"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.splunk.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/6333i0A738DBA32DB4F46/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="alt text" alt="alt text" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt; data. Could you please suggest some methods for Time series forecast using Splunk.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;@arpitadu have you tried with &lt;CODE&gt;LLP5&lt;/CODE&gt; also with &lt;CODE&gt;period=7&lt;/CODE&gt; based on your data?&lt;BR /&gt;
You should try various options (holdback is for testing prediction).&lt;BR /&gt;
For each setting/algorithm validate that &lt;CODE&gt;R-Square&lt;/CODE&gt; should be as &lt;CODE&gt;close to 1&lt;/CODE&gt; as possible. Also &lt;CODE&gt;Root Mean Square Error should be closer to 0&lt;/CODE&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
