How to Redirect Return to Splunk link to a custom URL on the home page

Hi Experts,

Is it possible to change the "Return to Splunk" link on the home page so that it goes to custom URL instead of default URL? If anyone knows how to do this, I'd appreciate the help!

On what home page? The only part of my installation that seems to contain the string "return to Splunk" is the splunk_rapid_diag app.

@PickleRick “Whenever I click on ‘Return to Splunk,’ it redirects to the Splunk login page. Instead, I want it to redirect to a custom URL. When users face login issues, a message will pop up, and when they click ‘Return to Splunk,’ they will be redirected to the custom URL.”

How can I do this?

I don't recall anything with this functionality in core Splunk installation.

I don't think you can edit this page. But you can set your own page with ssoAuthFailureRedirect option so your users will be redirected to a webpage of your choice in case of sso authentication failure

You create your own page anywhere (not in the Splunk installation - on your own web infrastructure) and put URL to that page into the setting I mentioned. Where this setting is (what it is I already literally specified) and how to apply the setting I leave as an exercise to the reader because authentication-related stuff (even if it's just a failed login page) is not something you should fiddle with freely if you're just a newcomer.
