    <description>&lt;P&gt;We are assuming that you have done this:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;The following are required before deploying Splunk DB Connect:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;PRE&gt;&lt;CODE&gt;A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Version 1.6 or above
    Do not use a hotspot (client mode only) JVM.
    &lt;A href="http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html" target="test_blank"&gt;http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html&lt;/A&gt; 
&lt;/CODE&gt;&lt;/PRE&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You will also need to set up JAVA_HOME as a global variable in your system.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;PRE&gt;&lt;CODE&gt;Java Installation directory (JAVA_HOME): This must be the directory of your Java JRE (Runtime Environment). The default value will be retrieved by your JAVA_HOME environment variable (if set properly).

&lt;P&gt;Encountered the following error while trying to save: In handler 'dbx-databases': Error connecting to database: java.sql.SQLException: I/O Error: SSO Failed: Native SSPI library not loaded. Check the java.library.path system property&lt;/P&gt;</description>
