A good place to start if you haven't yet at How Splunk Enterprise licensing works

When you just start -

-- When you first install a downloaded copy of Splunk Enterprise, that instance uses a 60 day Trial Enterprise license. This license allows you to try out all of the features in Splunk Enterprise for 60 days, and to index up to 500 MB of data per day.

Hi!

We would like to install Splunk DEV license on our DEV environment.

What are the costs and requirements for DEV license?
Is it possible to request it for our customer? ( not per user )

Thanks.

Please see the FAQ for dev licenses, I think that will answer some of your questions. What's left over can likely be handled by emailing devinfo@splunk.com and waiting for a response. (They're pretty responsive, but it'll take a few days most of the time).
