A search head has the following error message:

Health Check: msg="A script exited abnormally with exit status: 3" input="./opt/splunk/etc/apps/SA-Utils/bin/data_migrator.py" stanza="default"

I am not sure which direction to take. We just upgraded to Splunk version 8.0.8, remaining on ES app version 6.0.1. The upgrade to the new Splunk version is when it began.

It is an issue with the python script. You need to troubleshoot python script /opt/splunk/etc/apps/SA-Utils/bin/data_migrator.py. Check if it is failing while reading default stanza in a configuration file. Check the code where you are exiting code with status code 3.
If it was running in previous Splunk versions < 8.0, the issue might be related to python3

We were unable to diagnose the issue. Appears to be related to our current version of ES. Disabled notification until ES is upgraded, then we'll re-evaluate.
