Not able to upgrade Splunk Ent. 10.2.1 -->10.2.2 / 10.2.3 - on Windows 2019

Hi,
I am not able to upgrade Splunk Ent. (dev10.2.1 --> 10.2.2 or 10.2.3 - on Windows 2019. Since 10.2.1 I am not able to install a newer version. It throws an error: "The specifi account already excist" Then it starts rolling back the upgrade. Tried many thing (repair, deinstall, etc even cleared the registry on word "splunk" and re-installed 10.2.1 again and tried again to upgrade to 10.2.2) but nothing helps. Nor did an direct upgrade form 10.2.1 to 10.2.3

Does anyone have a tip or clue for me?

In the meantime (uninstall did not work) renamed folder and cleaned the windows registry for anything related to Splunk. I then was free to install Splunk 10.2.3 then merged it with my backup. running now under Splunk Ent. 10.2.3, Kvstore still not working but that is an ongoing issue I probaly solve later, as I did before.

Nb. The kvstore is also running again. Stopped Splunk Ent, under ./var/lib/splunk/kvstore renamed the mongo directory, started Splunk Ent. again and the kvstore error did not show up again. It probably created a new environment. Note: I did not use the kvstore explicit for some time so I did not need to restore/backup my kvstore data (although) but old data is still available under the renamed directory. Splunk Ent 10.2.3 is now running again as expected. Happy again 🙂
