    <description>&lt;P&gt;Technically, you can set the sender to anything your on-prem email solution will allow. But setting it to a @splunkcloud.com address makes as much sense as setting it&amp;nbsp;@whatever.domain.you.can.think.of.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Generally, you shouldn't do that. You should set it either to an address from your local domain (even if it's a non-existent mailbox) or - per RFC2606 - use the .invalid top level domain. (like &lt;A href="mailto:splunk@myorgsplunk.invalid" target="_blank"&gt;splunk@myorgsplunk.invalid&lt;/A&gt;)&lt;/P&gt;</description>
