    <description>&lt;P&gt;Yep. I also installing all the new Windows releases on Windows 7, and though not explicitly stated in the version list, they will install and work without any issues or warnings. I do think Splunk may refuse to provide &lt;EM&gt;official support&lt;/EM&gt; on those installations though.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Ok, thanks.  You've confirmed what I believed to be the answer.  Although I run Win-64 Splunk on other systems, in this instance it needed to be 32-bit Linux.  Oh well...&lt;/P&gt;</description>
