Scoreboards are working fine on my side.
I used the ctf_questions & answers as well an they provided these 52 questions which seems to be only small part of the contest.

Hi,

I'm trying to get the BOTSv2 dataset and scoreboard working with these documents:

https://github.com/splunk/botsv2
https://github.com/splunk/SA-ctf_scoreboard

Some of the apps are not available with the recommended versions. But that is not the main problem.
The dataset seems to work fine and question access is enabled.
I would expect that users can take part by opening the "Capture the flag" app. When I try to do this, I'm directed to .../app/SA-ctf_scoreboard/botsv4_welcome , but the page is not found.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

Same issue here. I'm working with the Splunk reps to find a solution. Will post as soon as I have an answer.

Initial investigation looks like the dashboards are named differently from what I coded into the nav menu

Here's what I did

go to the dashboards - http:///en-US/app/SA-ctf_scoreboard/dashboards

Clone the dashboard named Welcome to BOTSV4 Welcome

That seemed to have fixed the issue.

Thanks for that, the welcome page works now.
Do you have 52 questions as well? The numbering looks a bit weird, it is from 1 to 509

I used the base data set which has only 3 questions. I'm using this to load a custom set of questions. I'll try loading the example data set and update you on this.

So It looks like in the base set, the numbering is random. You can change this is the lookup files

ctf_questions - this file has all the questions and the numbers are brought in from here
ctf_answers - This has answers corresponding to the question numbers

So you fix the numbering, you need to change them in both these files. make sure a question and answer have the same number.

Another thing that I noticed is the scoreboard index doesn't get created automatically. So you'll have to create this index if the app needs to be able to log attempts and scores.

Cheers
