How to resolve this AWS Add Account Hangs and Error?

Hello

When trying to add an AWS account in the Splunk_TA_AWS, it hangs for 10m and then I get this error:

ERROR AdminManagerExternal - Unexpected error "" from python handler: "REST Error [400]: Bad Request -- HTTPSConnectionPool(host='sts.amazonaws.com', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: / (Caused by ConnectTimeoutError(, 'Connection to sts.amazonaws.com timed out. (connect timeout=60)'))". See splunkd.log for more details.

Anyone had this issue?

Try increasing splunkdConnectionTimeout

So this was a proxy issue in adding the account. Solved and thank you for your answer anyway

I have same issue, can someone please help me out. I am new to Splunk.

@tiagofbmm . Did you have to use port 443 or were you able to use a custom port?

I believe that's where aws was expecting the http request so I'm not sure there's a way around that

I am using vpc privatelink.
