No Splunk App for AWS

I was browsing splunk.com and am very interested in trying the Splunk App for AWS in SplunkCloud. I was on splunk.com/en_us/partners/solutions/aws.html (I don't have enough "karma points" to post a link!) which is the site that markets Splunk App for AWS and clicked the button that says Free Cloud Trial. Once I got into my instance I cannot find the Splunk App for AWS. Version 6.6 of SplunkCloud was created for me but Splunk App for AWS is nowhere to be found. I only see 72 apps/add-ons available and the Splunk for AWS site (splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1274/) doesn't list 6.6 in the Splunk Versions. So... can I specify a trial of version 6.5 instead of 6.6? I'm assuming there are plans to support Splunk App for AWS, when will that be?

Can the button for Free Cloud Trial be removed from the site that markets the Splunk App for AWS or maybe have the button create an instance of SplunkCloud that actually works with the app?

This is quite frustrating!

Can't comment on the Splunk Cloud availability however I run it ( not Splunk Cloud ) on 6.6.0 and it does indeed run fine .

Anyone, anyone?

So now the Splunk App is available however when you go to configure it says you must install the Splunk Add-on for AWS which isn't available! I wonder how the Splunk App was approved for 6.6 when it's not even possible to configure it without the Add-on!

has this been resolved? I have just created the free clod account but it does not seem to be available,Is this resolved yet as it still does not look available

I'm also having issues installing the App, I can install the add-on fine (Splunk Add-on for Amazon Web Services) but the "Splunk App for AWS" just doesn't show up on my Splunk Cloud app list.

I have used Splunk Cloud for a little over a year now. I have found that when you browse for apps/add-ons through the Splunk Cloud UI, you will often not see all the apps/add-ons that are available.

You can go directly to splunkbase and find the app/add-on you want and then you must put in a support ticket to have the app/add-on installed. There are many apps/add-ons that can be installed directly without involving the support team but there are also numerous apps/add-ons that you must request.

If you have a free trial version, then I doubt you will be able to get it done.
