Huge value of Redirection time in Browser Snapshot Summary

What is redirection time in Browser Snapshot Summary?

Why is it shown a huge value for Redirection Time in Real User Snapshot?
My page is does not have any redirection in it.

HI James,

This is not your about redirection from your application. It's time spent between

redirectStart and redirectEnd during server connection. It could be URL forwarding as well.

What devices is your request passing through?

The request is passing through Desktop.

In my application there is no forwarding or redirection for this page.

Then why the redirection time is getting huge value?

And if a page having redirection then will redirection time lies between redirectStart and redirectEnd ? else Where I can find the redirection time?

Hi James,

As I said it's not a redirect from your application. You made a request from a browser which is being forwarded to some server/device before its reaching your server. That is what shown as redirection time. Your application server is not even in the picture at this point. It's part of server connection time.

Does the Desktop use any proxy to forward the request?

There is no forwarding request from other servers or device. I have directly hit the page in browser by using direct url. Hence there won't any redirections or forwarding request is possible.

There is no proxy used in the desktop.
