Monitoring Docker Container with Appdynamics Trial

HI ,

Can anyone update if we can monitor server and docker containers with Appdynamics installed with a trial license .

I cannot check an option for Server Monitoring with Appdynamics trial installed

Dear Prayank

With the trial license, you cannot indeed do Server Monitoring but you can do basic Machine monitoring with the machine agents.

If you want to monitor the Docker environment, you can run the extension https://www.appdynamics.com/community/exchange/extension/docker-monitoring-extension

If you want to monitor Docker containers, ie monitoring the container itself, you need to wait a little bit more, we are on the way to provide a new version of the Machine Agent Docker container-aware. Stay tuned.

If you need a license for Server Visibility, you need to contact your sales representative. Let us know if you need help for that.

Thanks for your reply , how about AppDynamics lite .

Can we use AppDynamics Lite for performing Server Monitoring , does this have limited Features as compared to Pro Version ?

In the lite edition you can only monitor one machine with the machine agent if I remember well.
