The hardware metrics are colected by the machine agent, which you need to run as a separate process.

I have newly implemented using the Java AppServerAgent on our application web servers, but the out of the box agent is not reporting any hardware metrics.

Ahhh... So I was reading that wrong. I thought that Server Visibility was what is license seperately and that's what you needed for the Machine agent.

After attempting to show you my point using the documentation, I read it a few times to determine that even without Server Visibility enabled you would need the machine agent installed to get the hardware metrics.

Thanks for that tidbit.

From the doc:
You can view basic machine metrics in the following locations. These do not require Server Visibility to be enabled.
