Hi all,

Hope all's good.

I was trying my hands on the example login page using Splunk's Javascript SDK.

Here's the link of the tutorial, which I followed:

http://dev.splunk.com/view/SP-CAAAEXE

But when I run my code in the browser, it shows "config.js:135976 Uncaught TypeError: $.klass is not a function" error in console. I tried getting the updated version of splunk-sdk from github, but it didn't change the result. Not sure how to go about it. There were certain blogs which suggested that the problem's root cause might lie in splunk-sdk itself.

If anybody has any idea on how to resolve this, please do let me know.

Thanks 🙂

I guess you are using Splunk JS Stack 1.4 from http://dev.splunk.com/view/SP-CAAAEWR. When using this 1.4 version I had the same issue with you.

When I change to Splunk JS Stack version 1.1 from http://dev.splunk.com/view/webframework-developapps/SP-CAAAESV, the issue is resolved.
