so according to the message vlrtp98 and vlmmk109 have the same license.
please verify if this is the case, and are not single license-masters.
If they have the same license-master this should not occur.
if you have a search-head you could use make it a license-slave.

Hi,

I just configured one of my indexers to my license master, and now I'm getting the following error:

Unable to distribute to peer named vlrtp98 at uri https://vlrtp98:8089 because peer has status = "Duplicate License". Duplicate license hashes: [024DEFA548A11E0E70C3EA335E9EC942B9260CBA9233DE5F1512CB841705A8B1;], also present on the peer(vlmmk109) with guid 25402F11-A078-4A73-8930-7C5FC16B71C5

I looked at my other indexers, and they are setup the same. Did I miss something?

Looks like the issue was the the peer had not finished validating it's connection (it was in a "Initial" state). Once I let the state finish to Successfull, it worked.
