    <description>&lt;P&gt;I had the same issue, for me I was using a vpn which splunk oculd not reach the right host, if oyu are using a vpn as well just disconnect from it and try again. Hope it will help someone!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Dear Friends. &lt;BR /&gt;
 Please help me, I am new to Splunk. &lt;BR /&gt;
I cannot browse for More Apps. &lt;BR /&gt;
when i click on "Find more Apps" it says &lt;/P&gt;

Browse More Apps
 Error resolving: Name or service not known]
&lt;/CODE&gt;&lt;/PRE&gt;

&lt;P&gt;can any one please help me on what's the reason for this Error?&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Could you double-check if your computer is connected to the Internet? Seems your Splunk instance encountered error connecting to the server. &lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;As an alternative, you can go to splunkbase.splunk.com and browse Splunk apps there. Download the apps you want to install from SplunkBase and in Splunk Web, install directly from the app files. &lt;/P&gt;
